A driveway is the job resurfacing was designed for: the slab is usually sound and only the surface has failed. Grinding, crack repair, fall correction and a new decorative finish take two to three days, with vehicles back on it at 72 hours for most finishes. Exposed aggregate at about R12 is the safest choice on a fall.
Driveways across South East Queensland
The largest area of concrete most houses own, and the first thing anyone sees. Resurfaced in days, not weeks.
A driveway is the job resurfacing was invented for. The slab is usually sound — it is the surface that has gone: oil staining, tyre marks, a grey chalky finish, hairline crazing, and edges that have started to break away. All of that is a surface problem, and all of it is fixed by grinding back and laying a new one.
Finish choice comes down to slope, sun and the house. Exposed aggregate is the default for a reason: it grips, it hides dirt, and at R12 it is the safest option on a rise. Stencilled patterns suit brick houses, where a running bond block or bushrock pattern picks up the masonry. Plain and coloured overlays suit rendered and contemporary facades.
Falls get checked before anything else. A driveway that drops water toward the garage is a driveway that will keep having problems no matter how good the surface looks, so re-profiling is part of the quote when it needs to be.

What we would lay here
Exposed aggregate
Washed back to reveal the stone. The South East Queensland driveway default, and the most forgiving surface underfoot.
See finishStencilled concrete
A paper stencil laid into the colour coat, sprayed over and lifted — leaving pattern joints in a second colour.
See finishColoured concrete
Full-strength oxide colour, with or without a cut pattern. Reads terracotta against brick and charcoal against render.
See finishPlain concrete
One colour, no cuts, no pattern. The finish that disappears and lets the house do the talking.
See finishThe questions we get asked
How long is the driveway out of action?
Two to three days for most residential driveways, then 72 hours before vehicles. We stage long driveways so you keep access to at least one side.
Will it handle a caravan or a trailer?
The overlay is not the limiting factor — the slab underneath is. If the existing slab already carries the load, the resurfaced surface will too.
Do you quote on site?
Always. The slab gets a test grind and a moisture check before anyone quotes a finish for it.
