Slab work is where the excavation, the reinforcement and the pour all have to agree with each other. We set out to the drawings, cut and compact the base, place the reinforcement and vapour barrier, and pour to the specified thickness and strength.
Most of our slab work is residential: extensions, granny flats, garages and studios. The advantage of using one contractor is that the finished floor is planned from the start — a slab destined for polishing gets poured and finished differently from one that will be tiled or carpeted.
Where an engineer is involved, we build to the engineered detail and leave the inspections and the paperwork intact. Where there is no engineer and there should be, we say so.

Yes, and it is worth telling us before the pour — the finishing method and the mix affect how well a slab polishes.
Do you handle the engineering?
We build to an engineered design and can arrange one where the job needs it.
Do you quote on site?
Always. The slab gets a test grind and a moisture check before anyone quotes a finish for it.
