It costs around half of removal and replacement, takes two to three days on a residential driveway, and needs 72 hours before vehicles. It only works over structurally sound concrete, which we test before quoting.

Resurfacing is the whole business: we take a sound but tired slab, grind it back to clean concrete, repair what has moved, and lay a new decorative surface 2–10 mm thick on top. The slab underneath keeps doing the structural work it has always done. What changes is the wearing surface, the colour, the pattern and the slip rating.
It is roughly half the cost of removal and replacement, and it takes days rather than weeks. The slab never leaves the property, so there is no excavator on the lawn, no truck movements and no new concrete pour to cure for a month before you can use it.
The catch is that resurfacing only works over concrete that is structurally sound. A slab that rocks under load, has a live crack that is still moving, or sits in permanent moisture will telegraph that fault through any overlay. We test for all three before quoting, and we will tell you when replacement is the honest answer.

01 — Grind and test

02 — Repair and prime
Cracks cut, filled and bridged. Falls corrected so water leaves the slab instead of sitting on it. Primer coat the same day.
03 — Lay the finish
Overlay, stencil, aggregate or flake, laid to the build-up quoted. One crew, no subcontracted finishers.
04 — Seal and cure
Two coats of UV-stable sealer. Foot traffic at 24 hours, vehicles at 72 on most finishes.
The questions we get asked
Can any slab be resurfaced?
Any slab that is structurally sound. We grind a test patch, check for movement, and moisture test before committing to an overlay. If the slab fails, you get told before you pay for a surface that will lift.
How thick is the overlay?
2–3 mm for stencilled and stamped work, 3–4 mm for sprayed and coloured finishes, around 10 mm for exposed aggregate. Thickness is quoted per job, not guessed on the day.
Which suburbs do you cover?
Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Redlands, the western corridor and both coasts. Anything further out we quote case by case.
Are you licensed?
