Decorative Concrete Resurfacing works in Ripley from our base at Springfield Lakes — driveways, pool surrounds, patios, paths and garage floors resurfaced over the existing slab, plus new concreting. Ripley is the newest part of our patch, and most jobs here are booked straight after handover. On-site measure, test grind and written quote are free, and the licence on every quote is QBCC 1109935.

Plain overlay footpath
One of the finishes we lay in Ripley. Samples come to the quote so you can see it against your own brick and render.

What we do in Ripley
Fast-growing new estates. Mostly new-pour work, shed slabs and first-time driveway finishes rather than resurfacing.
This is the youngest housing stock in South East Queensland — much of it handed over in the last few years. The slabs are brand new and dead flat, and the work is almost never repair: it is putting a decorative finish over a plain builder driveway that was poured to a budget. That makes it the cheapest decorative work we quote, because preparation is minimal.
New slabs need a curing window before anything goes over them, so the first thing we do in Ripley is check the pour date. If the concrete is too green we will tell you to wait rather than take the booking — and then the build-up, the sealer and the cure times go in writing as usual.

What the slabs are like around here
Everything is post-2015 and still moving. New slabs shrink for their first year or two, so we expect fine shrinkage cracking rather than settlement, and we specify a reinforcing membrane over any crack that is still active. Covenants here are strict on colour, so samples come to the quote.

On site, with the slab tested before anyone quotes a finish.
Foot traffic at 24 hours, vehicles at 72 on most finishes.

How we schedule Ripley work

See finishStencilled concrete
A paper stencil laid into the colour coat, sprayed over and lifted — leaving pattern joints in a second colour.
See finishColoured concrete
Full-strength oxide colour, with or without a cut pattern. Reads terracotta against brick and charcoal against render.
See finishThe questions we get asked
Do you charge for a quote in Ripley?
No. The measure, the test grind and the written quote are free.
How soon can you start?
Most residential jobs book within a fortnight, weather depending. Wet weeks push everything back — overlays and sealers need dry slabs.
Are you licensed and insured?
QBCC licence 1109935, and fully insured. Both numbers go on the quote.
Can you match the finish to my neighbours or estate rules?
Yes. Where a body corporate or estate schedule limits colours, we sample within it. Bring the schedule to the quote and we will work to it.
