Mango Hill is among the newest housing on the northside — post-2010 estate slabs, sound and plain, with covenant control over colour and finish. Almost all work is first-time decorative or new pours, and curing moisture is the main technical constraint rather than age or wear.
What we do here
Mango Hill is new ground. Most of the housing is post-2010, the slabs were poured to current practice, and the concrete has never carried a decorative finish. There is nothing to strip and nothing to rescue.
What there is instead is a colour schedule. These estates are covenanted, and a decorative finish has to sit inside a document that also governs roof colour, render and fencing.
- First-time decorative over new estate slabs
- New driveways, crossovers and paths
- Shed slabs and secondary hardstands
- Pool surrounds at R11–R12
- Garage floors in vinyl flake
- Work within estate covenant schedules
What the slabs are like in Mango Hill
Curing moisture is the real constraint on housing this new. A slab poured last year is structurally sound and still chemically wet, and sealing over it traps water that eventually lifts the coating in sheets. We moisture test and will tell you to wait when the reading says so.
Covenants are stricter here than in the older suburbs. Colour ranges, gloss levels and sometimes pattern types are set by the developer. We sample within the schedule, and where an owner wants something outside it we say so before laying rather than after.
New estates also have soft edges — kerbs still under builder warranty, fresh turf, narrow verges. We plan deliveries and machine movements around them rather than repairing damage afterwards.

How we schedule Mango Hill work
Northside work is grouped into planned runs, so expect a firm date inside a fortnight with no travel premium on the rate.
New estates often have construction traffic and restricted access windows. We confirm access before the day rather than arriving to a blocked street.

See finishThe questions we get asked in Mango Hill
Our slab was poured this year. Can it be resurfaced?
We will moisture test and tell you. New concrete releases water for months and sealing early traps it. Waiting costs nothing; redoing it costs a lot.
The estate covenant restricts colours. Does that rule out decorative concrete?
No. Most covenants restrict colour and gloss, not method. Bring the schedule to the quote and we sample within it.
Does the slab still need grinding if it is brand new?
Yes. Curing compound and a slick trowelled surface both prevent an overlay bonding.
Can you pour a shed slab at the same time?
Yes. Concreting, excavation and resurfacing are all in-house, so it happens in one visit and lowers the rate.
